The Message

The message of the Section is to develop the educational and research unit in the section with the aim of making it more capable of producing distinguished research results and preparing qualified cadres to meet the needs of the society in chemical education and scientific research  by establishing partnerships with various organizations which interested in education and scientific research by making available to them scientific and research environment in line with international standards.

The Vision

Our vision is to have the Physics Section to occupy a distinguished position locally and internationally in the field of physics education, scientific research and technological development to cater for the present and the future needs of the Saudi society in order to attain sustainable development.

Objectives

The objectives are:  to make the present programs capable of enabling the students develop advanced skills , their scientific thinking, meet the needs of the society and the work market in the various areas in the Kingdom ; to nurture those who are intelligent and distinguished in preparing them  to be sent abroad so that they may continue their higher education ; to enable the artistically interested students join various courses to develop their scientific capabilities and to keep abreast with whatever is new and useful in their work.

The Objective may be summarized as follows:

• Establishing a foundation base of general physics syllabi and outlining a smooth and coordinated study plan.
• Provision of education and teaching of high standard in the BA and MA levels while maintaining the subjects to be taught, utilizing distinguished methods in teaching and continuous evaluation and development of the subjects taught.
• Taking part in providing the physics syllabus to all sections of the college; concentrated preparation of students in the principles of physics and analysis which could lead to conclusions derived from the experiments
• Providing student with the opportunities to deepen her knowledge in the various branches of physics so that she may get a glimpse of contemporary scientific research.
• Training the student on the methods of scientific methods and to enable her contribute in that part, under the supervision of qualified researchers.
• Enable the student gain deep and sufficiently mature knowledge which can enable her capable of actively participating in the scientific and scientific aspects of the development and planning programs.
• Working towards implementing basic applicable researches and carrying out scientific, theoretical, experimental and applicable researches.
• Continuous development of the teaching staff by dispatching them to training courses to maintain high level of efficiency and performance.
• Supporting and encouraging scientific co-operation among the teaching staff members within the section and to co-operate with the other sections in the multi-purpose researches.
• Spreading and encouraging the spirit of competition and providing all staff members with the opportunity of scientific and financial incentives to each member of the teaching staff so that he may become creative in the various scientific research fields.
